Dumbbells are not so dumb

I started working out with my bff a few months ago on her bowflex machine. It was a really good workout and it was fun at the same time. When the holidays crept in, it was a little more difficult to find the time or motivation to work out.

I've noticed the past few weeks that I haven't felt as good or slept as well as I had been and I think it might have something to do with not working out for so long. So this week I've been trying to workout with my dumbbells and I even did my 8 minutes abs, buns and arms. I'm a little sore today so I'm taking the day off, but I'm glad that I have a few days of workouts behind me.

I have started working out myself (with weights) and it is amazing how much better I feel! My story is pretty much the same as yours - the holiday was tough - but I'm not giving up! You go girl! by the way, that is a cute blog title.

The feeling that I get after a good workout is a better buzz than any drink or drug. And there is not hangover.

Excellent!! Just be careful you don't face the same fate as me. The horse bucked hard and I fell off the wagon. I'll get back on though. If I can catch the damn horse.

This is day #5 of my diet. Sooooo NOT fun. I need to be working out, but I just totally hate it. No good endorphins for me - just sweat & boredom. Gosh I sound grumpy. (probably because there are homemade cookies in my kitchen and I'm not eating them. Grrrr! That makes a girl cranky!
