It's official, he's an Airman

So far, this week, we've had a great time with Dylan, catching up and hearing all about his time at basic training. He's wanted to do nothing except relax, eat and more relaxing.

Here he is at the retreat ceremony when we set eyes on him for the first time. I was surprised at his appearance but incredibly proud. He's so serious!

Here are how these recruits stood during the ceremony. I loved looking at how they did everything the same and at the same time. Lots of practice, I'm sure.

I catch myself taking a peek at him every now and then, because I'm happy that he's here with us and I'm trying to get used to that new haircut. I think he looks great!

Sounds like you are having a great time. And yes, I had enough turkey and dressing for you and all of your family. You have a handsome son and you should be very proud of him.

Wow. I know how I feel when I see my kids after a week of summer camp. I cannot imagine the emotions coursing through your body. To see your boy so grown up... so strong... Congrats to BOTH of you.,

I am proud of your son for serving our country! I appreciate the sacrifice that he is making and also your sacrifice, too. I thought of you several times during the holidays for some reason. You and your family were and still are in my prayers.
