Coated with Ice

Our area has been covered in ice this week and the schools have been closed for the past three days. If the kids return to school tomorrow, they will be taking their final exams without any chance to review in class, as was the plan this week.

The roads have been treacherous and I've been stuck a couple of times and sliding all over the road the other times. The streets in town are in pretty good shape but once you leave the city limits.. beware!

Ha. I just now posted on the ice storm today, too. My husband says we have to get about 3 miles and then it's like nothing happened. In the meantime, I am trapped at home since he keeps taking my car. ;)

The weather seems to be bad all over.

Doesn't help when the city is trying to cut back and not salt the roads.

Wow! Be careful... I used to have the same experiences when I lived in Upstate New York. Now, here in Georgia, there isn't normally a "real" winter. It's actually about 64 degrees today (even though it's cloudy and drizzly) and very humid.

I was surprised AND bummed that they didn't have school today. It's thrown my whole week off. Blah!

It's the same here in O-town. The neighborhoods are very slick. Although, just in the past hour things have really started to thaw! Yay!!

Good gracious! Be careful. It's sunny and 70's here. :P

And I have been complaining about the rain, it could be worse. Please be careful out there and I hope things start thawing out soon.
