Fun, Crafts and Recipes has made "me" the focus this week. Ok, maybe not just me, but all cooks in the kitchen that particpate in Four Foods on Friday.
#1. Name your biggest cooking influence.
I would have to say my mom and step-dad. They are both great cooks and although I do some things healthier, I want my food to taste just as good as they make. Especially the chicken fried steak and gravy. So delicious.
#2. What is your ultimate comfort food?
All food is a comfort to me, but pasta is my favorite.
#3. Name one must have tool that you think every kitchen should have.
A really good knife. A sharp knife makes the cooking process more enjoyable. And that's coming from someone who does not love to cook.
#4. Share a time saving tip.
This is probably more of a time saving tool. Get a kitchen chopper for chopping up onions, peppers, etc. It's a great tool and much faster. I almost listed it as a must have for the kitchen.

I agree, a chopper can save tons of time especially if you don't need uniform pieces of food chopped.
Oops, I think I just shared a time-saving tool instead of a tip too. My chopper's broken, need to get a really good one this time, what's a good brand, btw?
Do you use an electric chopper? I have a mini chopper that I love to use. It is electric.
I don't have a chopper, I hate to have to clean it! But I'm with you on the sharp knife... and the pasta!
I always end up using knives for things other than their intended use. I have one knife in my set, I don't know what it's supposed to be for but I call it the box knife and use it to open boxes.
Thanks for playing FFOF.
Stumbled.
My mom swears by her chopper, too. She puts everything in there!
I've never had a chopper, but a retired chef gave me a couple of his knives a while back and they sure do make prep work a pleasure. :-D
My chopper is not electric. I forget to use it so maybe this will remind me to get it out and use it. :)
