Spring Snow

I woke up to a snow covered ground this morning. I didn't really pay any attention to the forecast because I really thought we wouldn't be seeing any snow. It wasn't until the kids woke up and asked about the snow that I looked out the window. Yep, there it is.. snow covering everything and it's still coming down. The bad thing about this is that I'm traveling on these roads this afternoon and what's worse is how the roads may be this evening around midnight when we attempt to come back. It's bad timing, but as usual.. the snow is pretty.

What is it about snow and how peaceful it makes everything. Have you ever stepped outside after a snowfall and just listened to the quietness of it all? It's the most peaceful time.
